Ennovate Hub and Hindsight Ventures have been playing a critical role in nurturing and growing East Africa’s early-stage startup ecosystem. Identifying each other’s strengths and the opportunity at large, the two brands have joined forces to launch thematic accelerator programs to fast track the growth and development of early-stage tech startups across East Africa. Ennovate Hub and Hindsight Ventures are happy to announce a new partnership that will work together to implement accelerator programs with the sole aim of helping the startups to validate, commercialize, and scale up.

As Africa’s tech ecosystem continues to boom, it is now significantly important to offer a full range of tech business commercialization support to high-growth startups, and this is why Ennovate Hub and Hindsight Ventures have decided to come together to design a growth-focused accelerator program that will provide commercialization and investment support to the most underserved tech founders in the region. With this partnership, we are opening up a regional platform for young founders to realize their venture potential and leverage the program to acquire commercial markets, build meaningful partnerships, and unlock investments to scale.

Leveraging technology, our fundamental thesis is based on the fact that African entrepreneurs are best cut out to build for Africa. Tanzania is a tourism-rich country. Despite COVID-19, the industry contributed 5.3% to Tanzania’s GDP. We see enormous potential for digital to play a role in advancing the travel and tourism industry in this market. It is also a relatively untapped segment in Tanzania, and hence it gives us an edge to champion startups in this industry ’, says Jagruti Bista, Founding Partner, Hindsight Ventures.

Through the partnership with Hindsight Ventures, we are on a mission to build a role model tech ecosystem for Africa. The partnership covers a number of strategic sector-based accelerators, one of them being in the travel technology space. Technology has also brought an exciting transformation in the tourism industry. It has simplified the booking processes, from travel tickets to room reservations, rating services, payment systems, and more. As a tourism hub, East Africa is keen on building renowned travel tech startups from the region to continue enhancing the tourism experience across East Africa through tech-driven innovations that will power different aspects of the sector, from finding the best holiday specs to seamless and secure payments, improving the travel experience, and more. The partnership will also seek to engage both government and private sector players during the implementation of the programs, “says Francis Omorojie, Co-founder, Ennovate Hub.
